New Products - GatorClampts by TefenPlast

When we first started working with Tefenplast, it was a subcontractor in the field of plastic injection molding, manufacturing for other companies. Its main client, Tsag, was acquired by Stanley and stopped working with Tefenplast.

Tefenplast underwent the ProductNet program with us. We identified a new market for them where they could manufacture and export branded products to retail chains worldwide. This new market was plastic clamps, a relatively young market at the time, with impressive growth and reasonable competition. During the process, the brand "GatorClamps" was developed, and numerous innovations were created in the clamp industry, which had been quite conservative until then.

Here are a few examples of clamp innovations developed by Tefenplast under the Gatorclamps brand. These products were invented during new product development (NPD) workshops.

Product: Clamp-N-Spread - A bar clamp with a bi-directional head that, with the press of a single handle, changes function and becomes a spreader - applying pressure outwards (instead of gripping inwards). Outward pressure is needed, for example, when stabilizing door frames or gluing chair legs while maintaining a specific gap between them.


 
Thinking Tool: Adjustment to the Environment
Product: Bar-Mans Crunch - a plastic accessory that attaches to the middle of the bar (of a bar clamp) and provides it with the appropriate height and space for optimal gripping position. This way, one person alone can comfortably adjust and work with a long bar clamp, without needing anyone to help on the other side of the clamp.

Product: Bar-Mans Extendor - a plastic accessory that allows you to connect two bar clamps, turning them into one double-length bar clamp. It is sold, among other options, as a 3-in-1 kit - two bar clamps and an Extendor, which can be used as two separate clamps, or, when connected, as a third longer bar clamp.

Product: Bar-Mans Plate - a plastic accessory that allows you to connect several short bar clamps to a central hub. This is an effective solution when, for example, you need to glue molding strips to the side of a round wooden table. This solution is a convenient and economical alternative to working with longer clamps, which are crossed and placed one under the other.
